Rosanna Smart

Rosanna Smart is a senior economist at RAND, codirector of the RAND Drug Policy Research Center, and codirector of the RAND Gun Policy in America initiative. Her research focuses on risky behaviors, illegal markets and the determinants of gun violence. Based on her work, she was selected as the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine 2025 Mark Kleiman Innovation for Public Policy Memorial Lecturer.
