Abdul Nasser Rad

Abdul Nasser Rad is the chief policy officer at Vital City and an applied public safety researcher. He leads efforts to synthesize and disseminate practical ideas to make New York and other cities safer and better. He received his MPhil in Politics and his doctorate in Sociology from the University of Oxford, where he was a Clarendon Scholar. He has extensive experience working on public safety issues in government and in non-profits, where he has designed and deployed research products for policymakers that utilize robust research methodologies and leverage advanced data science and engineering techniques.
