Vital City is a new policy venture that seeks to provide practical solutions to public safety problems. We promote our ideas through a policy journal, public convenings, policy briefings and other events. The aim is to shift the public reflex from one that starts with police as the default response to public safety problems to one that starts with supporting thriving neighborhoods and civic institutions.
Vital City is looking for an editorial assistant to support this work.

Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, an interest in urban issues, a feel for language and expression, and strong organizational capabilities. We are seeking a well-organized person with the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team. The ability to juggle multiple requests and evolving projects is essential. Excellent PowerPoint, Excel, Word skills required. We consider it a plus if you can use Adobe Illustrator or InDesign.
